Xiaomi Mi Mix Evo Smartphone Sports Snapdragon 835 SoC, Specs Leaked in Benchmark Results

The next generation Xiaomi Mi Mix Evo smartphone is coming and the benchmark results of the phone confirmed that it will sport a powerful SoC, the Snapdragon 835.

All smartphones getting ready for launch in 2017 sport the best processor available in town and the Qualcomm Snapdragon next generation chip seems to be the most preferred choice for flagship models. Xiaomi is known for releasing powerful phones that cost much lesser than their top branded counterparts. The Mi Mix Evo has already generated a lot of hype for this aspect. It might once again break the rules by allowing the average consumer to enjoy flagship quality experience without paying a premium price.

Xiaomi Mix Evo Specs

The smartphone manufacturer made the original announcement back in October last year. They didn’t specify the actual chipset they plan to use but it got the tech world buzzing and a lot of rumors were generated back then. When the original Mi Mix got launched, it didn’t pick up due to lackluster performance. The brand doesn’t seem to give up easily. The latest reports on the Geekbench website confirmed that the upcoming phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor combined with 4 GB RAM.

Building further on their plans, the Evo version is expected to be a more powerful variant of the original Mi Mix. The outer shell, design and overall specifications of the phone looks a lot like the previous model. It is obvious that Xiaomi is using the same phone but with updated specifications so as to grab the attention of its buyers. They may go with more durable material to make the smartphone sturdy and it might have bigger battery to offer all day running capacity.

The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it will be one of the flagship devices. We do believe that it will be upgraded to Nougat in due time as launching a phone with an older version of the OS in 2017 doesn’t qualify as a flagship model. More details are expected to be announced at the MWX event scheduled to take place next month.
